With many cities facing changing demographics, the uncertainty of federal funding, and the recent appropriation of cultural centered thought and theory, our work as a young Arts Organization is one of preserving the culture and increasing the artistic imprint of the communities in which we live and serve.
Daily, we ask ourselves how can we create a reality of Cultural Excellence and Innovation, where Culture is appreciated and encouraged? How do we build a family oriented model that reaches new audiences simultaneously eliminating boundaries? And ultimately, how do we use our art to respond to the trends of the day and answer the natural human needs to have a life of joy, connectivity, and self evolution?
We've found that through Music, Drumming, Dance, Art and Culture we can not only answer these questions but simultaneously bring together communities, heal broken spirits, revitalize families and spark the imagination of the youth.
SambaFunk! Artists are advocates for progressive social change. We fight for affordable housing and financial stability for working artists. We lend our artistic works to movements that improve global relations.
Our work is local but our challenge global. In the new paradigm, we feel that Artists will play a significant role in maintaining our rights to free speech, free thought and expression.
If you agree with our artistic ideas and cultural approach we would like to hear from you! On this site, you will find information on our existing programs, campaigns, staff, and ways to connect with us. In addition, you will find our SambaFunk! educational blog, which is filled with good news covering a variety of topics on cultural arts and community wellness.
And beyond your feedback, we need your support, and every amount helps us to expand our impact. Please make a small or large contribution today in support of our work.
Be Well and Abundant
